Monthly Newsletter Dalton Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club We want to welcome everyone back to our site. Even though it may appear that it has been a long uneventful summer, that is far from the truth.

Due to the closer of a trail on the power lines, we had to apply for a grant for a reroute, which unfortunately, we did not recieve. This issue will be dealt with at a later date. We are still working on a reroute of a trail down on the Lancaster end of the trail system.
We did recieve grant money to resurface a bridge on the power line and 3 bridges located on the Lufkin property. All 38 bridges are in need of serious limb trimming along the sides and underneath portions of the bridge.
Currently there are 3 scheduled work weekends during the month of September.
Sept. 11-12, Sept. 18-19 and Sept. 25-26.
The groomer has been washed and waxed. All it's equipment has been checked out and is ready to go. There are a few problems with the drag, which are being taken care of in the near future.
Our first meeting has been rescheduled from the second Saturday (Oct. 9th ) to the third Saturday (Oct. 16th) due to the conflict with the Grass Drags. The annual Landowners Appreciation Cookout will be held that same day.
As always, we would greatly appreciate any help you might like to offer on any of these projects. We are looking for volunteers to sign up to work the Grass Drags. You can work either the weekend before (set-up weekend) Oct. 2 and 3 or the weekend of Oct. 9-11, (actual Grass Drags). This is a great way to raise money for the club.
See you on the trails December 15, 2010. Trails open in 112 Days
